When I managed KFC in Lake Geneva, I had whitesnake in my store. Also, after I transferred to La Crosse, I met a WWF wrestler named Bad News Brown. Small potato’s compared to you. Hottie, John and Minnie would’ve been a trip! I’m green with envy!

I met Ronald Reagan before he was President. This was in 1976 at a $100 a plate rund raising dinner in Dallas.

All less fun than you would think, Bill.

Really? Even Hootie? Whitesnake signed autographs for my crew, and Bad News was grateful I didn’t make a scene.

I think Jon Favreau was my favorite. It was before he was famous. He was chubby and funny.
I met the guys from Hootie at the top of their fame. Darius Rucker was already too cool to talk to anyone but the hot chicks who happened to be around. (A friend of mine’s brother went to school with the band, so we went out drinking with them after gigs a couple of times when they came to Milwaukee.)

I have met the President and Justice John Paul Stevens. I had dinner with Richard Posner (he’s sort of famous). I was almost run over by Kate Jackson and Elliot Gould when I accidentally walked into a hot movie shoot at Harvard. I once shared the green room at channel 10 with then Sen.Bill Bradley. He does his own make-up!
As a lawyer, I once represented Lombardi era Packer captain Bob Skoronski and deposed Max McGee (two touchdowns in Super Bowl I). He didn’t know nothin’.
But the absolute best: I have smoked dope with Ken Kesey.

I’m no lawyer, but can you admit this in public?
;)

I am sure that the statute of limitations on possession in Massachusetts is less than 25 years. We had invited him to speak at the Law Review banquet. He showed up in an orange day-glo tux and gave the wierdest speech I have ever heard. His mind was seriously fried by then.

Let’s see… somewhere I have a picture of me with Bull Shannon from Night Court towering over me when I met him at the observation tower of the Sears Tower when I was a kid. I’ve also sat next to Rollie Fingers on an airplane as a kid. My sister and brother-in-law are friends with the band Dishwalla… and so I’ve met them as well.

I’d pay to see that picture of Bull Shannon.
My mom and dad once flew on a plane with the Jackson Five. The only one who was awake to give them an autograph was Tito. So the story is less impressive than it might have been. ;)

To be honest I’m not sure I could find the original picture anymore. I was about 7 and you can just make out my head… as Bull is leaning on top of my head and crouching down a bit to get in frame. My mom actually blew up the picture into a poster that she gave me years later. I’m pretty sure I have the poster rolled up somewhere, but I think I may have lost the original photograph.

I’ve got Melanie Griffith & Antonia Banderas on my list – along with Jewel, Tom Selleck, Linda Carer (Wonder Woman), Larry King, Jesse Jackson, Hillary Clinton, and Minnie Driver on my list. Honestly, though, I don’t think politicans count.
