There is no doubt, President Obama is a great speaker

But I honestly don’t think yesterday’s inaugural address was a great speech.

I wasn’t wowed by it either but I have been surprised by how many conservatives thought it was terrific. Pat Buchanan loved it. The Chicago Tribune’s John Kass loved it and I don’t think I have ever seen him write a nice word about Obama.

They were probably just relieved Obama didn’t order that all children begin reading Mao’s Little Red Book immediately. ;)

    That must be it.

I don’t listen to inauguration speeches; I prefer reading them so I can skip all the visual bullshit and get directly to what the person actually said. Personally, I was underwhelmed at what I read.
