Isn’t the State of the Union address supposed to address the actual state of the Union?

Sounded more like a wish list for the future than a description of the present.

A President or governor, doesn’t matter what party they are in, makes a wish list in which legislators say BS to. A president or govdernor can talk until the cows come home and in the end, nothing they say means anything to the legislators.
Harry Reid, even before the speech was saying BS to the President, even though, during the election, they were connected at the butt. Seems like that marriage is done.
