Putting the seat down.
November 6th, 2005
The true danger of hypocrisy is how seductive it can be.
Before I lost the use of my legs, discount cialis viagra I thought it was completely unfair that women would insist that men should put the toilet seat down.
After all, if the seat happens to be up when a woman wants to use it, she can just put it down, go about her business and walk away.
On the other hand, if the seat is always down when a man wants to urinate standing up he has to put it up AND then down again.
He does TWICE the work all the time so that a woman can do none of the work any of the time.
But since I will never again pee standing up…I’m starting to see it from a women’s point of view.
I mean, how hard is it to put the damn seat down?
The facts haven’t changed, but now that I’m on the other side I’m considering revising my opinion in my own self interest.
Seductive isn’t it?

As a woman who’s actually thought about the potential hypocrisy of this, I’ll say this…
If it’s an all guy-house – the visiting woman should return the seat to whatever position it had been in before visiting the facilities.
However – if there is a single woman in the house, the seat goes back down.
I hear you asking – Wouldn’t that be unfair to any men in the house?
No. And the reason why is simple….
Simply visit your own bathroom during the wee hours of the morning in a sleepy stupor only to fall into the toilet – butt cheeks first.
All it would take is to experience this unique sensation once to have every male understanding why women are so adament about this.
