Part of me was really hoping Sarah Palin would self-destruct last night

October 3rd, 2008

Then I could vote for Barack Obama with a clear conscious.

Damn you, viagra viagra Sarah Palin!

It is possible that your conscience could still be clear, you know …

    Of course, I meant “conscious.”

I couldn’t vote for him if I were unconscious now, could I? ;)

Perhaps you need to vote for Obama in order to clear your conscience and/or conscious.

Gracious sakes Elliot…have they made you attend Obama Camp?

I really am still up in the air, Kate.

I’ve read Obama’s books and I think he’s clearly intelligent.

I like what he has to say about merit pay for teachers.

I like the idea of voting for a black man.

I like the idea of refocusing some effort on Afghanistan.

On the other hand, that’s about it.

Odds are, I’m going to vote for McCain.

The most important issues for me in a Presidential election are always the Supreme Court and foreign policy. I think McCain is better on both of them.

And, emotionally, every time I think about voting for Obama I stumble upon a mean-spirited and ignorant comment by some 20-year-old Obama supporter on the Internet and there’s not a chance in Hell that I want to vote on the same side as an idiot like that.

Truthfully, the mainstream media isn’t doing Obama a favor as far as I’m concerned, either. The more they bend over backwards to attack the Republicans and defend the Democrats, the more it makes me want to vote for McCain.

Honestly, I’d have NO problem voting for a black person, man or woman…Asian, Hispanic, etc. The more I read, from both sides, on the internet, in actual books, the more I know he scares me. It’s not his color…it’s his politics…ideology…lack of character.

The only people making an issue of his color are his supporters. I haven’t figured that one out yet. :?
