My senator wants to chip in for gas money?

April 27th, 2006

Some U.S. senators are proposing to send every American $100 to help pay for gasoline.

I’d be OK with this if I’d given any of these guys a ride, generic viagra viagra but otherwise why the hell are they trying to give me gas money?

I’d much rather they took that money and invested in fuel cell research.

That kind of sucks… because that means that people who take the bus and have electric cars will get it to. Why should we give tree huggers money too?

It would be better if they cut the gas tax…that would be a savings. If they take this out of the Oilcos, they’ll just raise prices to cover the “windfall tax”.

BTW, I saw something on Discovery (I think it was Discovery) that showed a German Submarine running on Fuel Cells. Toyota has 10 fuel cell cars running as concepts in Japan. Fuel cells are coming but the money allocated by the U.S. for research should be much larger than it is.
