Let’s suppose John McCain had won the election

And then, viagra sales buy during the second biggest financial crisis in American history, cialis buy he’d taken a vacation in Hawaii.

Be honest: what do you think the mainstream media and the left-wing blogosphere would have said?

Personally, I’m fine with the President-elect taking a little break. It’ll be good for all of us to have him take office rested and ready.

But I’m pretty sure, that would NOT have been the reaction if the swimsuit had been on the other foot (so to speak).

C’mon, the guy deserves a break. It’s not as if he took a vacation while he’s still got heaps of transition stuff left to do; his Cabinet’s in place and no doubt he’s still keeping a very watchful eye on things.

If the swimsuit had been on the other foot, I’d probably be complaining more if McCain went shirtless than I would about anything else.

Somewhere there’s a joke about how he’s just an unemployed schmoe …

But, seriously, weren’t you just complaining that he was on all the magazine covers? Now you want him to be president before he’s sworn in?

I thought he was in Hawaii for the memorial service for his Grandmother.

At least he’s not spending half his time clearing brush, right?

If you read carefully, you’ll note that I have absolutely no problem with the President-elect getting a little R&R.

My suspicion is that press would be treating the man’s Hawaii vacation differently if “the man” had been John McCain. ;)

Yes, McCain’s PR people would’ve found something manly for him to do, like cutting brush. That’s a completely different variety of pablum than the variety involving stories regarding the PE’s workout schedule. Coming up next, what kind of dog should they get, and who’s in charge of the pooper scooper?

Wanna talk about something real? How many vacation days should a president have?
