Are we even reading the same article?
This looks like he’s talking about paying for it himself versus his parents footing the bill. I suppose his parents qualify as “someone else” but that’s not quite the insinuation you are making with your post.
So are you against helping pay for your own kid(s) education? Would you argue your kid is a liberal if they asked you to help pay for college?
