If I had hit a teacher in school…

…a male staff member would have knocked me on my ass so hard I’d still be skidding down the hallway.

Luckily we live in a more enlightened age where teachers are never allowed to lay hands on the little angels in their classes.

Milwaukee Police have cited five eighth-grade MPS students after they struck teachers at a school on the city’s north side.

    Not only that, but I smarted off to an adult I didn’t even know and got smacked up side the head. I told mom, and she said I shouldn’t be smarting off to anyone. Lesson learned. At least until I became an adult. :-)

    Write the policy you’d like schools to implement.

    Or describe your reaction, when your child returns from this school and explains the bruise they received. Do you believe their version of the story, or assume the teacher was following your new policy?

    Or describe the circumstances in which parents hit their children. Only when it’s prudent and they deserve it?
