I was going to make a Godzilla joke about the events in Japan

But then I saw these pictures and decided to shut the hell up.

Damn moderation queue. How I despise thee.

Sorry about that. I don’t know why you get moderated. Maybe the links this time?

Yeah, it seems to be an anti-spammer thing that kicks in with two or more links.
Anyway, if the internet has taught me anything, and from looking at my links above, it’s never too soon or politically incorrect to joke about disaster.

Oddly or scarily enough my train of thought follows yours.

When I was watching the news this morning they were talking about the impact the earthquake/tsunami would have on the markets. First thing that crossed my mind was Godzilla, and how if the markets survived all his rampaging, a little earthquake wasn’t going to have much of an impact.

Whats the saying, tragedy plus time = comedy that being said I think I will also hold off not enough time has passed yet.
scary thing is that 8.9 quake hit one of the most earthquake ready societies on the planet and kicked their ass imagine if that had hit some third world country like Mexico. This quake would have wiped Mexico City off the Map.

Yeah, think of all the Hiroshima jokes we have now. And 9/11 jokes. Nothing more funny than 10,000 dead, right?

Actually my fav Hiroshima joke is the one people put on T-Shirts after a Japanese gov official said American Workers were uneducated and lazy.
So they showed a mushroom cloud and the words below it
“Build by lazy uneducated American workers, field tested in Japan”
That one always makes me chuckle :)
