Yeah, see coyotes there quite often, that park runs north from there behind the old County Grounds land, along the river and through the golf course. There are a ton of deer in there too, have to be careful at dawn & dusk, especially along the parkway. Basically, from Watertown Plank almost to North Ave and from Hwy 100 to almost 76 st. is pretty heavily wooded and has deer & coyotes.
All along the Milwaukee River on the north east side is much the same way. I have seen coyotes and very nearly hit a whole heard of deer by the TV6 tower when I was riding my motorcycle several years ago.

I’m used to them running through my back yard, but the other day one went right across my driveway…and one of the cats was out there…fortunately, the coyote didn’t notice…

I’ve heard of Cougars, but never Coyotes. Please explain.
Oh wait, you meant the actual animal, didn’t you?

Yeah, coyotes are pretty common over here on the south side of Milwaukee County, so I’m not surprised you saw one over near Watertown Plank.
