I lean libertarian, but Reason magazine is being unreasonable…

…when they criticize Apple for banning Apps that Include DUI Checkpoints.

1.) Apple is a private company and they can decided what apps they want to sell through their store front.

2.) Driving while intoxicated is a crime (often a lethal one) and “freedom” doesn’t require a corporation to aid and abet the commission of a crime.

3.) Should Apple also have to allow apps that enable Pedophiles to post the locations of five-year-old cuties? I think most of the arguments Reason makes about the DUI apps would apply to a Cutie-Spotter app.

I don’t always agree with Apple’s decisions, viagra sale search but I think Reason has no reason to criticize them in this particular instance.
