Yes, but when people refuse to buy car insurance (which they do) we don’t give it to them anyway.

We require drivers to buy liability insurance to cover potential effects on others. Collision and theft insurance are not mandatory, and people who don’t own cars are completely outside the discussion. Bzzzzt – wrong analogy.

Yeah… if someone refuses to buy car insurance, we can stop them from driving. If they refuse to buy health insurance, are we going to stop them from breathing?
