Hey Jude, don’t make it bad

Frank Jude, the man beaten by off-duty cops at a party last year, just filed a $30 million claim against the city of Milwaukee.

While I think Jude got screwed that night and in court when a Milwaukee jury failed to convict his attackers, I’d like to know what legal theory allows a plaintiff to sue an entity for actions its employees took ON THEIR OWN TIME.

OFF DUTY!

Sue the individual officers? Great.

Sue the city?

Well, I quite honestly think the one place Frank Jude actually deserves to get beaten is in court.
