Get drunk in a bar and you could end up behind bars.

March 23rd, 2006

Texas is apparently arresting people for being drunk…inside bars.

According to a spokeswoman for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission

“Being in a bar does not exempt one from the state laws against public drunkenness.”

Can someone explain to me how you can be drunk in public when you are inside a private business?

I heard that story this afternoon as I was traveling up I-94 towards Eau Claire. If they tried that in Wisconsin, there’d be a revolt. I think. Too many in this State have become sheep.
