The argument is that it wasn’t a mistake because we invaded a country, took out a brutal dictator, and the area is better now than it was eight years ago?
We could make the same argument could be made for North Korea, Iran, Cuba, China/Tibet, Sudan, Burma, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, … Need I continue?
It was a mistake because Iraq was not the people who attacked us on 9/11 even though it was paraded as such. It was a mistake because all we’ve done in the past eight years is added more fuel to the fire for those people who did attack us.
Sounds to me like conservatives are only against social programs that help United States citizens. But they have no qualms whatsoever using those same American tax dollars to instead help Iraqi citizens? All while also letting the terrorists who did attack us get away with it and grow stronger.
What kind of logic is that, again?

Psst! Debunked! The only folks who associate 9/11 and Iraq are those on the left who keep shouting there being no connection between 9/11 and Iraq. WE know there wasn’t. However, there was an al Qaeda training camp found in Iraq.

Psst, Kate, the training camp wasn’t there until after we invaded.
Double Psst, Bush and Cheney both repeatedly said that there was a connection. Bush apologized for lying. We’re still waiting for Cheney.

Changing the subject. Typical left response.

And our belated apologies to the Germans who, as it turns out, had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor.

So, Kate, now you’re saying bin Laden wasn’t responsible for 9-11. That Bush, Cheney, and McSame were lying about bin Laden for the past seven years.
The article you linked to says that Saddam caused 9/11 and that bin Laden was incapable of it.
Seems to me that I bet I could find posts on your own site saying bin Laden was responsible. Are you calling yourself a liar, too?
Oops, meant to start with a “Psst, Kate”.
How you doing?

Oh fer the love of pete. sigh… Psst! :) They had the training camp before Bush pushed to go in. No, I don’t think it was the Iraqis who were in charge, it was definitely al crapos. This network was big….very big. I think one of the Hussein spawn encouraged them with this training camp? Actually, I was looking for a different site, but wasn’t feeling too swuft, so just settled for that one.
Let’s try:

I’m doin’ fairly well, considering. How ’bout yerself? :)
Need more coffee!

You know, Kate, this is reminding me a lot of when Bush/Cheney/et al, kept going in front of Congress, in front of the U.N. and in front of the U.S. of A., saying we know where the WMDs are, we know that these tubes are for missiles, blah, blah, blah. Six years later, still nothing.
Given that Saddam was more secular, and bin Laden hated him, I doubt they were really collaborating. But if you want to see Saddam conspiring with a real scary mug, go here.
I’m doing good Kate. Congrats on your “Editor” position. Just how did we fall for that? ;)

Y’know, there’s a lot of about Bush that has been a major disappointment. sigh…. But I think either of us trying to rehash it all….doesn’t really help either side. What we all need now is to come together, in the hopes that there won’t be future stupidity. :) Naturally, that means the RIGHT side. LOL
I dunno….I think we both got suckered in? LMAO Actually, it’s not too bad. I’ve become acquainted with some fairly decent sorts, on BOTH sides of the ‘coin’. :)

Oddly enough, many of the people I love most in the world are liberals.
That’s one of the reasons I try hard to be respectful of folks on both sides. (Although, I know I’m not always successful.)
As long as we never talk politics, it’s great.
The problem is, that when it comes to governing, we have no choice but to talk politics.

I think one of the reasons Kate and I can get along is cuz I’m out of gun range. :)
Kate, how come you never visit me at my new castle?
14. Kate | September 7th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Hmm…. ya might have a point there capper! Heh
