Ozzie and Harriet and Hugh?

Does anyone else think it’s odd that David Nelson’s wife in real life AND on The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet was a former Playboy playmate?*

I have so few illusions left.

Next thing you know, cialis sales shop somone is going to tell me that Lassie was really a cross-dressing male dog.

* If you don’t see the irony, buy viagra diagnosis it might help to know that The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet was emblematic of “family values” in the 1950s.

Wouldn’t it be ironic…

…if this “sand” that seals wounds (and was paid for by the military) was one day used to save a bleeding heart?

Apparently the Journal Sentinel only favors ideology when it’s delivered in a eulogy.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wants talk radio (and I suspect bloggers like me) to shut up about the political comments made during Coretta Scott King’s funeral.

They say:

“More important than the desire of some, best viagra ailment after the fact, cialis medical to turn what was a solemn and respectful event into an opportunity to score partisan points, sick is King’s legacy and the responsibility each of us no has for honoring it.”

So, let me get this straight, scoring partisan points DURING the funeral is hunky-dory.

But responding to those remarks AFTER the funeral is disrespectful?

Negroes With Guns

THAT got your attention, generic cialis illness didn’t it?

I’m looking forward to watching Negroes With GunsRob Williams and Black Power this week on PBS.

I’m fascinated because in general:

• Conservatives are in favor of the right to keep and bear arms.

• Liberals are in favor of the rights of black people.

But I bet in the 1960s no one was in favor of the right of black people to keep and bear arms.

Which is a damn shame as far as I’m concerned.

On booster seats and boom sticks.

The Wisconsin state legislature just passed a law requiring that children up to eight years old be strapped into a booster seat.

Meanwhile they are still consdering a bill to let eight-year-olds carry weapons while hunting.

Does anyone know where I can get a booster seat with a built-in gunrack?

But how do they feel about a ban on GIs in gay porn?

I was just browsing for news and I had the surrealistic experience of reading these two things back-to-back:

First a headline from CNN:

GIs from celebrated unit in gay porn?

Then the first sentence from a post from Andrew Sullivan’s Dailey Dish:

Huge majorities now favor ending the ban on openly gay service members.

Sometimes it’s a very odd planet.

Sung to the tune of “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off.”

You say Delay.

And I say Gary.

You say Jensen.

And I say Thompson.

Delay! Gary! Jensen! Thompson!

Let’s call the whole thing Abramoff.

Neither side has the high ground folks. Try to remember that when you’re throwing stones.

Invisible ink?

I heard someone on NPR ask “where is it written that the president can authorize wiretaps without a warrant?”

My answer?

I think it might be in the same part of the Constitution that talks about abortion.

Don’t let the Travelgate hit you on the ass on your way out.

Does anyone else think it’s ironic that a Doyle employee was indicted for her role in awarding a state travel contract while Governor Jim Doyle is actually travelling?

By the way, buy cialis purchase what the hell is the governor of Wisconsin doing in Iraq?

Guns BAD! Unions GOOD! (What’s a liberal to do?)

The factory that produces the famous Winchester rifle is about to be closed.

(Insert cheers from liberals.)

The closing will put a couple hundred union workers out of work.

(Cut to liberals whistling non-nonchalantly and heading for the door.)

H/T to BS (Oops. I meant Boots and Sabers! Please, buy cialis advice don’t kill me.)
