Obama needs to lock in an additional 5% of the voters. That is the playing field for the next two months. It troubles me as much as the next bleeding heart liberal that my candidate has to be so negative in campaigning.

There is too much at stake – world peace, ending the billions of dollars sucked up by war, oil profiteers, and mercenaries, the appointments to the Supreme Court, and our liberty and safety in a world threatened by terrorists.

I’d be willing to bet that Karl Rove uses a paragraph nearly identical to…

    I don’t doubt that Karl Rove might say something “similar.”

    But similar is relative. You would need to remove “world peace, ending the billions of dollars sucked up by war, oil profiteers, and mercenaries” statement in order for it to actually come from him.

    He’d probably drop the “ending the billions of dollars sucked up by war, oil profiteers, and mercenaries,” but I bet he subscribes to the idea that world peace is more likely to come about at the hands of warriors than pacifists.

    Remember when Reagan named a nuclear missile the “Peacekeeper?”
