I just saw…

The movie There Will Be Blood. It reinforced my belief that I should never see a film that’s up for an Oscar for best picture. I rarely like them and I didn’t like this one.

On the other hand, cialis sales healing Daniel Day Lewis is phenomenal.

I wish I could do anything as well as that man can act.

Which Fonda was that again?

I mentioned earlier that I had watched (and greatly enjoyed) 3:10 to Yuma.

Earlier that day, viagra decease I watched another Western – The Tin Star – that I also greatly enjoyed.

What I didn’t realize until just now is that The Tin Star stars Henry Fonda as a bounty hunter and 3:10 to Yuma costars his son Peter Fonda ALSO as a bounty hunter.

Of course, viagra canada malady considering every other person in a Western is a bounty hunter it’s probably less of a coincidence than I first imagined.

When was the last time you saw a pro-American movie?

In the last few years, viagra generic ailment I’ve seen lots of movies about how evil America is:

The CIA? Evil.

American oil companies? Evil.

American Senators? Evil.

America at war? Evil.

But when was the last time you saw a film that was unabashedly pro-American?

The Hunt for Red October?

Independence Day?

I can’t remember seeing an honestly pro-American film since long before 9/11.

Is there no place for a pro-American film anymore?

Must all our movies and television shows display unabashed disdain for our country?

I’m not looking for a return to John Wayne and unquestioning patriotism, discount cialis but it would be nice to see an occasional piece of Hollywood entertainment that wasn’t ashamed of (or critical of) everything our country is and everything it stands for.
