    We thought there was a mountain lion around here a few years ago, too. DNR said no, but a lot of others said yes. There’s a taxidermy business on Hwy 12: they put a big sign out front that said “Here, kitty kitty kitty.”

    We get them just about every year wandering down into Salt Lake Valley; there are too many to the west, so the younger ones get pushed down into the city by the older cats. About all that happens is that kids and dogs chase the poor damn things around neighborhoods until they can hole up in somebody’s garage and then the animal people haul them back up in the hills again.
