You know who I’d LOVE to see as the VP nominees?

For Barak Obama:
For John McCain:
Now THAT would make for an interesting election.
(Not to mention a killer VP debate.)

She’s too closely tied to Bush and all of the negitivity his presidency has created on both sides of the aisle. McCain would get killed.

But – I do like the idea of a woman and/or minority for VP on the Republican ticket. It would shake things up on this ticket.

I think Obama needs somebody who has some military and political experience.
I think McCain needs somebody who is younger and less white.

I don’t know. Historically, Secretary of State was the stepping stone to the presidency (I assume because around 200 years ago, the Federal government focused on foreign policy and did almost nothing domestically). Condoleezza is smart and experienced and clearly qualified for VP, but I don’t think it wise to float a candidate on the basis of identity politics (recent example being Mike Huckabee: vote fer me ’cause I’m an Evangelical).
Condi would not only sink McCain because she’s too close to President Bush, but also because, in her own words, she is “mildly pro-choice.”

Just so you guys know, I didn’t say they were GOOD choices. I just said I’d LOVE to see them.
Can you imagine Condi and Colin yelling at each other about what really went on in the war room?

Well, that’s about all they would do in the VP debates. It would be fun to watch, though.
