Will a software company show Wisconsin the hard truth?

June 18th, 2006

Software company RedPrairie is talking about leaving Wisconsin because of the high personal taxes.

Of course, best viagra here the powers that be will deny there’s a problem and contend that taxes really aren’t so bad (even though Milwaukee County is trying to raise its sales tax another full percent).

What will it take for our state and local governments to get it?

Will Miller have to move? Will Harley have to motor? How many jobs will we have to lose and how many more will we miss out on before the people in this state understand that business as usual will keep costing us our businesses as usual?

If they think they’ll be able to cut code with the products of the Louisiana school system they’re welcome to go.

Epic has built a new campus in Verona and has committed to Wisconsin for the long haul.

Did you read the article, Grumps? They’re moving not because they can’t find grunts to write code but because they can’t recruit executives to move to Wisconsin.

Grumps – We need to fight for any jobs we can keep in this state.

I”m sure you’ve heard this before … but just in case I’ll lay it out there again…

By 2012, the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics predicts that 23,000,000 Baby Boomers will retire while only 10,000,000 million Generation X’ers and Millennials will enter the workforce to replace them.

Who do you think is going ot pay for all of our lovely liberal handout programs if all the taxpaying employees are gone becuase their jobs up and moved?

Like it or not we’re competing to attract and retain businesses, employees, and a future against other cities. The city with actual foresight, creative porblem solving and vision will win. Guess what — We’re really behind in this race.
