Why do we spend the first two years of a person’s life…

…encouraging people to burp and then make them spend the rest of their life apologizing for it when they do?

    I know there are coutries where burping after a meal is considered a compliment (a sensible attitude), but the U.S. isn’t one of them…so don’t even TRY playing that card, Nick. ;)

    I think you’re not so much encouraging them to burp as biding the time until you can teach them not to eat like animals so they don’t get so much air in their tummies.
