“space float” sounds under dramtic and, well, lazy. Walking is active, floating is what you do in a pool.
In NASA Official-speak it’s still EVA – extra vehicular activity. Shame EVA never caught on in the public mind.

EVA I like.
I was a space geek when I was a kid (had my own model Saturn V), so you think I would have remembered that.
Getting old is a crime. Or a shame. Or something like that. ;)

Space geek?
Space Camp, Space Academy, Space Academy II, and Aviation Challenge. Such were my younger days….

And now, Owen, you’re in Wiscnsin. Yes, aviation, we’ve got that. But it’s a long way from the Space Coast in Florida or the Mojave. Or even Seattle.

My ambition was to be a Navy Pilot. Life intervened.

Man, I hope your call sign was going to be Saber. I don’t think I could handle a naval aviator called Boots. ;)

I don’t think I could handle a naval aviator called Boots.
But how cool if his wingman’s call sign was ‘Puss’.
I don’t need to belabor that pun, I think.
