I’m not sure thats an accurate statement. The Android sales numbers have exceeded those of Apple’s, and Windows 7 Phone is on the way. Even if they’re not afraid of Microsoft, I don’t think its fair to say that Android is not real competition.

Android is a real player, but at the moment the iPhone has three times the market share (http://www.talkandroid.com/2507-iphone-market-share-3x-bigger-than-android-and-why-thats-no-surprise/).

But, even if the numbers were reversed, I’d still think the phone Apple just announced has no real competition. ;)

And, yes, I am an Apple fanboy. ;)

Actually, as long as they are exclusive to AT&T, they do have competition. There are many, myself included, who wouldn’t go to AT&T if they had the best phone of all time. The Iphone and Droid are the giants. My computer guru cousin hates the I Phone. He likes droid, but isn’t a google fan. Ah well, the old saying “Opinions are like buttholes. Everybody has one.”
