What’s “news” about it?

October 24th, 2006

CNN is defending showing footage of “insurgent” snipers in Iraq shooting at American troops by saying:

That the decision was “a difficult one, viagra sales unhealthy but for a news organization, site the right one. Our responsibility is to report the news.”

Really? What’s the “news” here?

That people are shooting at U.S. troops?

I thought we knew that already.

Maybe the next time CNN airs an “insurgent” propaganda film they can run some text over it explaining what exactly is “new” about these dirtballs trying to kill Americans.
