Warrentless wiretapping is not Watergate.

March 31st, 2006

Warrentless wiretapping – a questionably legal/illegal act aimed at protecting the United States from being attacked by terrorists.

Watergate – an unquestionably illegal act selfishly aimed at getting a president re-elected.

You don’t really think that matters to those who hate the Pres. do you? I read a story that even the guys who wrote the FISA law said Bush is within his rights as Pres.

I couldn’t believe my ears (well, actually, I could, sadly) when I heard them comparing Bush to Nixon. I’ll be the first to blame the news media and the democrats next time we get hit by terrorists. They damn better not blame it on Bush when it happens, either.

I can just hear it now… “why didn’t President Bush do more to stop these terrorists…”

I think what we’re saying is, “Why didn’t he do something more effective than making Granny take off her shoes at the airport and buying SWAT gear for the Dumptruck County, Alabama Sherriff’s Patrol.”

Grumps, you know how the P.C. crowd feels about profiling! Doggone it! If you check Achmed instead of Granny, you might offend him! As for the Dems trotting out that Nixon clown, F**K him. He’s looking for spotlight and was likely paid hansomely for the dog and pony show.

Let me apologize for the implied profanity. That wasn’t proper.
