V for Vendetta vs. C for Crazy.

I just saw
It was pretty entertaining.
And I’m not particulary bothered by the “

I like that sort of thing, so I enjoyed the movie.
That said…
…I’m wondering if it’s a coincidence that in the last couple of days I’ve twice heard callers to WPR proclaim that
You know…no planes really hit the
V for Vendetta also features a plot that has a fascist government taking power after manufacturing a terrorist attack.
What I’d like these conspiracy-theory crackpots to realize is that V for Vendetta is fiction.
And so is any claim that 9/11 was planned and perpetrated by

i have to say that i think you are right; i think that to assume bush (and co.) perpetrated 9/11 is a little much. that said…i loved the anti u.s. sentiment in the movie. perhaps it will be something that helps wake up the youth of the country to see that there are horrible horrible things happening in the present united states that undermine all of our “supposed” values.”

There was some anti-US sentiment.
But it wasn’t overbearing.
And, personally, I remain a fan of the United States.
For example, we still allow you to make a movie featuring “anti-US sentiment.”
Try that in China…or Iran…or Russia…or Cuba…or Saudi Arabia…

Plus – If not the US – then where? There is no utopia. For all the things wrong with this country, I’d still rather be here than anywhere else.
