Today’s burial is brought to you by…

August 29th, 2006

I just returned from a funeral service.

At one point I noticed that the casket featured the brand name of its manufacturer in a prominent position at one end.

I have to admit, viagra sale check I found this vaguely disturbing.

And it made me wonder, illness how long will it be before people start defraying the cost of their funerals by selling advertising space all over their caskets?

Will caskets start to look like stock cars?

Instead of the Valvoline, Texaco, and Best Buy stickers you see plastered all over the cars at NASCAR races, will caskets be covered with Scotts Turfbuilder, FTD florist, and mortuary ads?

Just another good reason to stick with my plan of a Viking funeral. (Although, with my luck, Ikea will want to sponsor the boat.)
