The Badger States capital, salve Madison, enjoys the best employment record of any metropolitan area so far in the 21st century.On Numbers compiled the 137 monthly unemployment reports that have been issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics since January 2000. Madison’s median jobless rate over that span was 3.5 percent, the lowest figure among the nation’s 100 biggest metros. Honolulu and Washington 3.7 percent were the runners-up.

    No. Clearly they benefitted from Bush-era tax cuts that created jobs.

    First reasonable thing Foust ever said…granted that it was by accident.

    I recently saw stats from the website that showed DC’s real estate market has been almost crash/recession proof with home values today being around 170% what they were ten years ago. Not the only market to experience an overall gain, but was one of if not the strongest in the US.
