The racially-tinged violence…

August 5th, 2011

…at last night’s Wisconsin state fair, cialis sales view has some people saying Wisconsin’s concealed carry law passed none to soon.

I need to point out that drawing a weapon in that situation would have been a very bad idea.

Outnumbered hundreds to one and surrounded by innocents is not the time to add a weapon to the equation.

The best thing to do?

Get out. Leave as quickly as possible.

Cornered and confronted by lethal force? Then protect yourself and your family by any means necessary.

But a gun, should always be a last resort.

What a buzz-kill you are! How many concealed-carry enthusiasts routinely caress and polish that day-dream that they’ll be at the right place, in the right state of mind, in the right circumstance where their gun will not add confusion to a situation or make the cops’ job harder, and their bullets alone will find their target, and that no bystanders will be hit.

I don’t know any gun-carrying people having fantasies like you describe; I think that is in the hysterical day-dreams of the hoplophobes, not the gun owners.

John, could you explain your comment in a way normal Americans could understand?

Most cc folks likely know that drawing that weapon will cost mega $$ in legal fees even if your life was in danger. So, most would likely not draw unless there remained no other choice. The anti-gun crowd will never accept the 2nd amendment, or they’ll try to pervert it, like they have so many others.

    Terry, it wasn’t that difficult.

If you like, tell me your retroactive imagining of how this incident would’ve turned out differently if more guns were present – open carry or not.

A small blade (covered by CC, I believe) and a tight pair of running shoes is much better suited to close quarters defense.
Best case scenario for a handgun would be a single shot to the sky, but even that invites a CC shot to the back of the head in a mob situation.
either way, expect plenty of bologna sandwich time afterwards.
