The best professors taxes can buy?

June 29th, 2006

I’m told that one of the reasons my taxes are so high is to pay for the word-class faculty at the University of Wisconsin.

It’s nice to know that a 9-11 denier is among the intellectually-rigorous academics that my hard-earned dollars go to support.

Intellectually rigorous is not the same as ideologically vetted. The guy is an assbag but he may know his stuff as far as folklore is concerned.

I’m sorry, Grumps, but I have to question the judgement and intellectual capacity of anyone who believes and advocates the “theory” that the United States (or the “jews”) were behind 9-11.

As a folklore professor, I think it’s a direct comment on his intellectual capacities that he can’t seperate a modern consipiracy “folktale” from the reality.

Plus, he’s scheduled to teach a class on Islam. Don’t you think his assertions take on a special significance in that context?
