The 12 blogs I read first

March 26th, 2008

Right Wing News, tadalafil recipe No Runny Eggs, buy viagra here and An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings all posted their favorite blogs.

I have too many “favorite” blogs to post them all, but I would like to list the ones I currently go to first when I see them in my RSS reader:

Shark and Shepherd
Althouse
The National Conversation
Dr. Helen
Lance Burri
Rustmeister’s Alehouse
Boots & Sabers
The World According to Nick
Letters in Bottles
The Volokh Conspiracy
Eugene Kane
Folkbum’s rambles and rants

If you’re not here, it doesn’t mean I don’t love you. I have different reasons for reading each of these first, but even if I don’t read you first, I almost certainly read you.

    I am honored, sir.

Thanks Elliot… and say hi to your friend Michael as well… he needs to come out drinking some time.

You forgot to mention that you go to folkbum’s for my witty insight. And that you save the best for last. :)

    OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!1!!!one!1! I’m on the list!

Seriously, thanks. If I ever get an RSS reader going, you’ll be in there. I check daily anyhoo. Always something interesting, if pathologically wrong.

You are definitely one of the reasons I go to Jay’s place, Capper.

And, Jay, I prefer “misguided” to “pathologically wrong.”

Elliot, I presume you’re keeping my other home away from home a secret guilty pleasure, right? Or didn’t you count Whallah, because you have it set as your homepage?

    but…but… WAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

  • 8. folkbum  |  March 26th, 2008 at 9:44 pm

You get no respect, eh, James? If it helps, I always read you. I keep waiting to see what else you might name after me.

I knew this post would cause problems…people are so needy. ;)

Of course, I read you, James. I also read Fred, Aaron, Phel, Dave, Bruce, Grumps, the BBA….etc.

I spend way too much time reading blogs.

I tend to read these guys FIRST either because they don’t post very often or because there’s something specific I’m looking for (Volokh’s coverage of the 2nd Amendment case has been fascinating, for example.)

So, like I said, just because I didn’t mention you in this post doesn’t mean I don’t read you daily. ;)

And I’d like to point out that I didn’t make Ol’ Broad’s or Egg’s list myself. :-p

    Honored, indeed.

  • 12. capper  |  March 26th, 2008 at 11:02 pm

Elliot, at least you have an open enough mind to read on both sides of the sphere. That seems to be a trait that is lacking among so many.

I listen to NPR, too, Cap. ;)

Letters has really taken off since you moved to New Orleans, Brad.

I feel like I learn something new (or at least New Orleans) everytime I visit your site.

Speaking on NPR, I’ll be on Week in Review tomorrow. Tune in!

  • 16. Clint  |  March 27th, 2008 at 10:22 am

    I love you too…

  • 17. elliot  |  March 27th, 2008 at 10:44 am

The feeling’s mutual, Clint. Now post more often. You’ve been slacking off!

  • 18. Clint  |  March 27th, 2008 at 10:55 am

I have been posting a lot more since my year long hiatus. But since I have a job that requires me to work (still trying to get a job with the gummit) I am only able to do 3-4 posts a week vs. a day like I was doing.

    Some good reads there.
