Mazda calls the CX-7 the “SUV you never saw coming.”

I think the reason we didn’t see it coming is because it’s NOT an SUV.

It is a strictly front-wheel drive vehicle.

I know the car companies would like us to think otherwise, cialis sales cialis sale but the DEFINING characteristic of an SUV is that it is capable of 4-wheel drive.

So, viagra sales patient if you plan on doing some serious off-road driving, you should know you’re not going to be in an SUV…you’re going to be SOL.

Ahem; it offers something called “Active Torque-Split All-Wheel Drive” as an option on the 3 different trim levels. Still, I wouldn’t want to try off-roading with it because that system (like those on most car-based “SUV”s) lacks a low-gear range for the 4WD system.

I love that classification, SUV. What a joke. They call the Subaru outback an SUV. Yet, try and take it where I could take my Durango, when I had it. Try to go where a jeep, or a hummer can go. SUV indeed! That’s down right offensive. Yet, people are sheep. They’ll buy it.

My new favorite is BMW with the “SAV”… the Sports “Activity” Vehicle. Just like anything… this is what happens when you give marketing wonks too much room to play.

Why not just call them what they are? Too Scared To Get It Dinged and Dirty Vehicle… TSTGDDV… hmmm… ok… that might be hard to sell.
