“Oh noes! The Coast Guard gots guns!”

There really is no limit to the Left’s hatred of guns is there?

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that environmental groups (and others) are dismayed that the Coast Guard wants to fire its machine guns in designated areas of the Great Lakes during training exercises.

Their main concerns?

1.) The lead from the bullets will be bad for the enironment.
(An assertion that is debunked by a specialist at the end of the article where most people will never read it.)

2.) Increased militarization of the U.S.-Canadian border. (Of course, cialis buy for sale you didn’t hear anything from these folks a few months ago when the Canadians finally started arming their border guards…a MUCH bigger “escalation” than the already armed Coast Guard getting another weapon on their ships. )

The Coast Guard is a military organization (the word “guard” is in their name for God’s sake). They need to train to be able to protect us…even when the “us” includes a bunch of folks who would rather protect the smallest aspect of the environment than themselves.
