Judging the Judge

November 28th, 2007

Because Wisconsin State Supreme Court Justice Annette Ziegler was supported by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (a lobbying group representing many State businesses), viagra generic sales her opponents seem to think she should recuse herself from any case that impacts business interests in Wisconsin.

This feels like an attempt by the folks who lost the election to, case in effect, cialis change the outcome of the vote by silencing Justice Ziegler.

I agree with Former state Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske, a law professor at Marquette University who said:

“If you are going to have judges that recuse themselves anytime this has happened, you are not going to have a court,” she said, referring to cases in which campaign supporters have an interest.

I suppose any judge with children should abstain from any case that involves a child predator?

Better yet: any judge with painted walls in their home should be forbidden from trying any lead paint lawsuits.
