It’s not easy to start your own catchphrase

April 3rd, 2006

A few years ago I was talking to a friend about a project we were working on.

In the middle of the conversation, generic cialis search he just stared at me with a look of complete bewilderment on his face.

Apparently he’d misheard me.

I said, sickness “What did you think I said?”

He said, pharmYou’re so famous?”

I immediately fell in love with it.

And for the last couple of years, whenever someone did something cool or clever, I would say “you’re so famous” in a vain (and I mean that in both senses of the word) attempt to establish it as a catchphrase.

Considering that this is almost certainly the first time you’ve ever heard of it, I’d guess “you’re so famous” isn’t so famous.

While that may be true, Elliot, you are all that and a bag of chips!
    So take heart!

    “and a bag of chips?”

Is that some sort of catchphrase you’re trying to start? ;)

    I like that … “You’re so famous.”

I didn’t create “Hells Bells,” but it’s something that people constantly call me out on saying anytime I inadvertantly say it, because they say they’ve never heard it before.

But I think I’m going to implement “You’re so famous.” We’ll see if we can get it to catch on, yet.

You know, Bruce, I could totally see/hear you saying, “Hells Bells.”

And, thus, I am officially frightened. ;)
