It’s “library” not “liberry”.
June 2nd, 2008
How can someone who went to Marquette University and is herself a librarian pronounce the word “library” as “liberry?”
(I feel churlish for pointing the mispronunciation out, sildenafil sales but she’s a librarian for God’s sake.)

I’m guessing it’s a black thing, baby; you just wouldn’t understand.
Black, white or plaid, what it is is a person whose community cred trumps their education and desire to communicate effectively.
I have students who say aks, and other community speech mannerisms that I have to find tactful ways to insist they not do it in class or during presentations. Always fun.
