From the article: “Maybe they’ll need a moat,” he said mockingly to laughter from the crowd. “Maybe they’ll want alligators in the moat.”
Umm, yeah, that’s not a bad idea.
But I guess the selling of illegally obtained guns to the cartels and having the Border Patrol trying to scare the illegals back to Mexico instead of apprehending them in Obamas eyes constitutes success.
Obama: biggest mocker around.

A fence isn’t a serious policy. It deserves to be mocked, with both logic and comedy.

Umm, John, Obama was praising that aspect. He praised the idea of the fence and patted himself on the back for almost finishing it.

Sensationalist title is wrong. Next time, try reading the article. He is not mocking their actual stance on immigration and even just a rudimentary glance at the article provided that much information.
What he *was* making light of is the fact that whenever he or other Democrats provide exactly what Republicans were pushing, they say that’s not what we wanted – we really want this instead.
Basically, he’s saying, “now that we’ve greatly increased the scope of the border fence that Republicans have been asking for, they’re going to say they didn’t really want it – they want this instead.”
Besides, it doesn’t really matter who finished the fence. As John said, the fence is an absurd idea that does deserve to be mocked.

Dan, look closely at my head. I’m not wearing the same brand of blinders as you might expect. I don’t care who is promoting the idea of a fence or a moat.
