Is it really worth the $500 price tag though? And then you still have to buy into a two year contact.

I already told you I’m buying one. So, to me, the answer is a resounding yes.

And, hell, a Video iPod by itself is almost $400.

You get a super smart phone, a widescreen video ipod (which can’t be bought at any price right now), wifi connectivity, and Apple’s renown UI expertise.

When the iPod first came out, people thought it was too expensive, too.

I’m predicting that Apple is going to sell as many of these as they can make.

    Wait a couple of years.

2 years ago the Razr phone was $500.

I just got one for the Mrs for $49 with a $50 rebate.

Yes, they paid me a dollar for a phone that 2 years ago cost $500.

I agree with Fred, but not so much because of pricing. If I recall, some of the initial iPods had a lot of bugs. Let other consumers deal with those and then buy when you’re confident this thing is going to work smoothly.

Or do I need to remind you of the car you’re driving…

It doesn’t look much like a phone I’d want to have.

Four years ago that’s what I thought about their laptop.

The proximity sensor detects when you lift iPhone to your ear and immediately turns off the display to save power and prevent inadvertent touches until iPhone is moved away.

I think this is my favorite feature, I have the Cingular 8125 and i’m constantly having to close apps when I’m done with my phone call.
