I was right, Brokeback Mountain won.
March 6th, 2006
I know
But a couple of days ago I posted that the Brokeback backers would win no matter what.
My exact words were:
If it loses…the Left will say it’s just another example of America’s rampant homophobia and intolerance.
And here is the exact reaction of a gay man in San Francisco when ‘Crash’ won the Oscar:
“It’s an outright sign of homophobia in our country. (‘Crash’) won no awards before this. It makes me sick.”
I wish I could take credit for this prediction, cialis viagra but some future events are so obvious even the Psychic Friends Network could get them right.

Although Brokeback Mountain lost, another film that celebrates alternative lifestyles won best documentary.

Elliot – you simply predicted that a reporter would have the same prediction as you would go out and interview enough people until he found the sound bite that confirmed his prediction… and I guess your prediction was a good one…
So what would happen if the reporter called him/herself a prophet and started a not-for-profit organization? It might be called a self fulfilling prophet center.

That was funny, Sheldn.

Elliot….
Your ability to preditct the future leaves me both impressed and frightened.
As does Sheldn’s.

Brokeback Mountain would have done better with different gay people on horses.

It probably makes me a pig to say it, but THAT’s a Brokeback Mountain that I would go see. ;)
