I think you forgot a little detail, Mr. Kane

March 25th, 2008

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist Eugene Kane wrote a pretty nonjudgmental column on the recent up tick in politicians cheating on their wives.

In it, viagra drugstore he mentions Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, help ex-New York Governor Elliot Spitzer, viagra New York Gov. David Paterson, former-Milwaukee Milwaukee Mayor John O. Norquist, and former President Bill Clinton.

What he forgot to mention is that every one of them is a Democrat.

Apparently that is now assumed by the presstitutes in the LeftStreamMedia.

Riiigghhhttt… as if Republicans don’t cheat on their wives just as often. Party affiliation has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I’ve pretty much come to accept that any time I have to play “guess the party”, the party name starts with a “D”.

I didn’t write his column, Nick. He’s the one who choose the examples…and they were all Democrats.

Also, in my lifetime, all the really famous political cheaters have been Democrats: F.D.R., J.F.K., all the guys Kane mentioned.

It’s sort of a cliche that Democrats tend to fall prey to sexual lapses and Republican’s tend to succumb to the financial ones.

I actually suspect it has to do with the nature of the people who are attracted to the different parties.

    Come on now, be fair.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Packwood#Sexual_misconduct_allegations

These were just four I found with just a quick google search. They range from the 90s to within the past few years.

I’m not saying Republicans are worse than Democrats, but I am saying there’s bad eggs in both parties, so don’t try and generalize it either way.

Oh, and I will grant that not all of the above were “famous” scandals so to speak. I was merely pointing out it is not merely the nature of the people attracted to each party.

I never said only Democrats got caught with their pants down. I just pointed out that every politician Mr. Kane mentioned as having cheated on their wives was a Democrat.

Of course Republican’s cheat, too (I’m surprised no one has mentioned Newt Gingrich, or Bill Bennet), but you have to admit the Democrats are certainly more known for it.

For example, let’s look at the Presidency for a minute.

It’s pretty much accepted that Presidents who cheated on their wives included:
    Clinton
    JFK
    FDR
    LBJ

    All Democrats.

In fact, it looks like EVERY Democratic president since the 1960s (with the notable exception of Jimmy Carter) cheated on their wives.

You have to go back to Warren Harding before you hit a Republican President who is known to have cheated.
