I am not OK with a reporter interrupting President Obama

June 15th, 2012

I am not a fan of Obama, but he’s still the President of the United States. Show some respect. If not to the man, to the office.

Sorry… I don’t agree with respecting of the office. Since both political parties of created a Cult of the Presidency, almost raising it to the level of a King, then the office is just as tainted as the person who currently is assuming the office.

The office deserves no more respect than the man.

I completely understand the sentiment, but there is some value to the symbol of the Presidency. At the very least, I think we can wait for the man to stop talking before arguing with him.

This has been going on since George Washington. Sam Donaldson was horrible doing this, especially to conservative presidents. I even heard Helen Thomas threw insulting Questions to George Washington about the Revolution War and the all the women and children who were killed by Union soldiers.
