Is throwing an apple core onto a grassy side of the road littering?

And should it be?

    No, it isn’t littering.

However, the DNR will prosecute you to the fullest extent for illegal usage of a narrow wildlife corridor as an agricultural site.

I think it’s a probably double standard. It’s ok to do if the apple is organically grown, and it’s a native species to the area.

But, if there are any pesticides on that apple (or you throw a kiwi), look out!
