I visited Mount Vernon a few years ago and I can’t tell you how moved I was to stand a few feet from President Washington’s grave.

What amazed me is that there was literally no one else there.

While I was grateful to have the chance to thank George in private, it still makes me a little sad to think how few of the nearly 300 million people who live in this country take the time to do the same thing.
