Fimbulwinter?

February 6th, 2008

Snow storms, buy viagra sovaldi sale like the one Milwaukee got pummeled by today, remedy always make me think of Fimbulwinter–the endless winter that preceeds the destruction of the Gods in Norse mythology.

Where did I learn about Norse mythology? In one of the best books you’ve never heard of:

Day of the Giants.

Don’t be mislead. This book has nothing to do with UFOs. It’s a phenomenal example of 1950s fantasy and if it hadn’t been saddled with such an inaccurate and uninteresting cover, you might have heard of it before and understand why I still have my copy after discovering it when I was around 12 years old.

I remember reading that book; it was back in about ’61 or ’62, if I recall correctly.
