Ducks in space?

October 23rd, 2006

I was watching Apollo 13 the other night and I was tickled to be reminded that the astronauts actually used duct tape to save their lives when they were in danger of suffocating from carbon dioxide.

Think about it, cialis generic medicine there was actually a cabinet somewhere on every Apollo spacecraft full of duct tape.

That kills me.

Other interesting “duct” tape facts:

It was invented by Johnson & Johnson for the military during WWII.

It was originally called “duck” tape. (Thus, sildenafil my headline.)

And “duct” tape is actually just about the worst thing you can use to actually seal ducts.

It was actually originally invented as a cheap way to waterproof and seal ammo cannisters for transport.
