Don’t make me get medieval on your ass
January 13th, 2007
A high school prevented a student from appearing in his yearbook picture in armor and carrying a sword.
They said it’s because they have a zero tolerance policy for weapons. (Which is just stupid.)
He (with the help of our friends at the ACLU) is suing them for violating his right to free speech. (Which is even stupider.)
I was trying to figure out what my father would have said to me if I had wanted to sue my high school because they wouldn’t let me appear in my yearbook carrying a claymore.
The answer to that question is the headline of this post.

Just when did kids start to choose what they wear in their pictures? We had our pictures taken in what we had on when we went to school. I can’t imagine a kid wearing armor to school. Am I so old, I just don’t get it?

I remember one of my classmates getting his taken with his pet python. That’s just cool in my opinion.
