Do women make better bloggers?

March 10th, 2006

I think they might.

Women are naturally more social, generic cialis health tend to be better writers, buy cialis and value writing and communications more highly.

Arguably the most famous blogger to date was Wonkette.

One of the most popular conservative bloggers is Michelle Malkin.

And the most “successful” blogger in Wisconsin is Ann Althouse.

I’m not saying men don’t make great bloggers (men certainly seem to dominate tech blogging), pilule but I have a gut feeling that women might be naturally better at blogging than men.

So here are some questions for you guys:

Do you think men and women approach blogging differently?

Are women more likely to be blogibitionists?

Do you think I’m a sexist pig for even suggesting there might be a difference between the way men and women blog?

I’m personally not sure. I do think that because women tend to be more social… and blogging is a social enterprise, that they have an advantage at gaining readership.

Women are probably more likely to read female blogs because… well… like you said… women are more social.

Men are more likely to read female blogs because, we secretly hope they’ll decide to share little bits about themselves, and men are just pathetic that way.

Anyone who has read my blog would think that women make better bloggers

I disagree with what Nick said…I only have 2-3 female bloggers on my blogroll. I think men make much better bloggers. :)

You’re worth three of any of us, Jenna. ;)

Jenna – just because you only have 2-3 on your roll may not be the issue. There may not be as many Women bloggers as male bloggers. Kinda like Engineers. Something like 90% of engineers are male. That doesn’t mean that they are better than women engineers, just that there are more men in the field than women.

If I even think about bringing up politics to my wife, she runs out of the room. But she is much more articulate than I will ever be.
