I’d almost cop to agreeing with your title, but would likely rephrase it to “believe Sarah Palin is mostly incompetent”. She has, I’m sure, redeeming qualities, but in the scheme of presidential politics, is in way over her head.

As for expectations, no one with a straight face could say they are high. I for one, will be watching for purely entertainment purposes.

Why do the Repubs continue to screw in such dim bulbs when there are actual brighter alternatives avaiable. I actually felt sort of sorry for them for Quayle and Bush, but the selection of Palin sort of confirms their commitment to sub-mediocrity.

Yeah, I’ll be watching for the entertainment value, because I just don’t see much in the way of a substantive debate on the issues occurring tomorrow.

I think the Dems have to be very careful with Palin. In the past when they have went at her for not being “well traveled” or ‘educated” they have appeared elitist.

It certainly seems she is setting the Dems up to me. That she could not remember a newspaper or magazine was a bit fishy.

And for sure Biden should stay away from the pointy finger thing. It comes off as both sexist and classist.

While I don’t agree with Palin on much, I do think the Dems would have responded differently if she had “better” pedigree. In some ways she reminds me how the political establishment responded to Huey Long.
